Peer Review Process
All research articles published in JPR undergo double-blind peer review in that they will be reviewed by two experts.
Each submission is evaluated on the following basis:
- Is the scholarship sound? (Is the research based on clear objectives? Does it reflect adequately on methodology? Does it offer a coherent and logical argument?)
- Does the article offer new insights or concepts, or intervene productively in an ongoing debate?
- How innovative is the research presented (in terms of theory, method, or subject matter)?
- Does the article make adequate and appropriate reference to existing literature on the topic?
- Is the essay well written?
- Does the submitted article speak to readers in other fields as well? Does the author demonstrate an awareness of other fields and disciplines and does he/she make an effort to address readers in these other fields and disciplines?
The decision to publish will be made by the journal's editors-in-chief on the basis of the reviews provided.
Members of the editorial and advisory boards lend insight, advice, and guidance to the editors-in-chief and may assist in decision making on specific submissions.Section Policies
